Each line of verse, poetry, and rhyme with reason, herein, could give cause for a closer look at all that surrounds us in our daily comings and goings. From pieces historical, musical notes, and some things of value, to views of the natural world in all its glory, and respect for our two-legged, four-legged and eight-legged… friends, the reader will most always find reason for reflection. About the Author

Lois, a teacher for more than thirty years, first penned verse and rhyme (with reason) for use with her middle school students. Subsequently, it became apparent that each piece could become fodder for a lifelong lesson for learners of all ages. With hundreds of original lines put onto paper, Smile and a Wink, Lois’s second book was created. Her first, Soundtracks of a Life, a memoir, enhanced by musical recollections, with stories by celebrities and strangers, explores the power of a song. Also celebrating the music/memory connection, Encores and Echoes, and Soundtracks from the Battlefield (stories from veterans), are works in progress. “You heard the song on the radio today, Could be the words or the tune, That brings back the memory of one special day, You’re certain of that Sunday, that June….”
