About the Book

Through the millennium, man has radically changed his environment, his inventions and his societies. But one thing has survived his attempts to change the many things that are wrong (his greed, avarice, desires etc. not withstanding), it is man’s belief that something would be done about the poor. The basic question always has been “what” to do? In this book Dr. Kahane explores only the American poor on whom, while lots of data are spewed out, nothing has been effectively done to help. After exploring the poor at some depth, he explores quickly, in turn, the wealthy (or rich if you will) and the “middle class”, which since he wants to avoid class talk, in the main alludes to them as “those in the middle.” After exploring the status of the various income and wealth classes, he lets you the reader decide whether anything, on a practical level, has been done to alleviate the status of the ever growing number of poor in this country. Dr. Kahane thinks not!
