Mthuthuzeli Cwayi is a South African who, as a young man, was brutally booted out of the country of his birth by the apartheid regime. This book captures his story in the author’s own words, in African narrative and poetic form. “My sojourn in Sweden opened up a new way of viewing myself and learning about the culture there. My parents had already laid the foundation by teaching me to respect myself and others. The socio-political climate in Sweden at the time reinforced my belief in the sanctity of human life, democracy, equality and justice. I have embarked on the journey of learning how to be the best individual I can be. I am learning how to make the best of my unique gifts instead of chasing fashion and trends. I am digging deep into my inner strengths. My mission is to develop self-knowledge, self-discipline and self-improvement. I am again learning to live, forgive, sing and love again”.
