About the Author

Angel Rukia Ajani was born Pier Angela Middlebrook. After becoming saved she felt the Holy Ghost, she was instructed by the almighty to change her name. God spoke to her and told her that she was new and Pier was old, so she needed a new name. She has been called Angel her whole life. So that name was a keeper. Her middle name Rukia means “Superior”. And her last name Ajani means “one who possesses after a struggle”. Ms. Ajani is originally from Memphis, Tennessee she’s currently living in a homeless shelter in Los Angeles, California. She’s experiencing humble beginnings and maintaining a positive attitude in spite of her circumstances. Angel is working security at the Union Rescue Mission located on “Skid Row”, a very rough part of LA. Her dreams include becoming an actress, director, and producer. She’s been writing since the sixth grade. Ms. Ajani has written three screenplays based upon her life and the lives of others who have shared their experiences with her. They are entitled “Satanic Substitute”, “Deliverance Without Acceptance”, and “Daddy’s Seed”. Along with the screenplays she’s also written songs for the soundtracks. She has received Commercial Recording Contracts from Hilltop Records, as well as Amerecord, but she’s waiting for the okay from God. Ms. Ajani is single with no children. She desires to have a big family in the future.
