About the Book

Quiet Moments with God is a collection of poems that reflect how God has been part of my life experience. Family, nature, holidays, patriotism, church activities and friend are all topics included in this book.

About the Author

I was born September 5, 1927 in Hitchins, Kentucky to Norman and Lottie Goodpaster Jackson, five minutes after my twin brother Lacy. My husband James and I have two daughters, seven grand children and three great-grand children. Family is dear to my heart and is a theme in many of my poems. I began writing poems after the death of my husband, and found inspiration in scripture, family, and all of God’s creation. I thank God for the opportunity to tell of His greatness and to share my poetry with others.
