About the Author

Tim Flower has for 35 years been a full-time watchmaker specializing in the repair and restoration of antique and special interest watches. He served in the US Air Force as an aircraft mechanic and a technical librarian. Following a University of Michigan B.A., University of Chicago M.A. and Rutgers Ph.D., he taught literature and writing at University of Pittsburgh. His horological career began by realizing a deep-seated ambition to learn all he could about watches. A co-founder of the Classic Watch Company, he is a member of the AHS, AWI, BHI, NAWCC, and three of its Chapters.
