About the Book

My poems are a direct reflection of me. All of my poems were inspired and created by true life events (either personally or through someone close). That makes much of my work easy to relate to. I write about love; it’s joy, it’s consequences, the ups and downs of life, as well as mental and spiritual matters. My work can be found very inspirational, motivational, and entertaining at the same time. As a writer, I feel that it is my job to bring forth my information in an entertaining matter. I like to grab the audience’s attention, and keep it.

About the Author If you have read or are reading from this collection of poems, you’re probably wondering who is behind this Hert Love era? Herschel Martellus Youson is his name. Herschel was born and raised in the small town of Opelika, Alabama, on January 11, 1983. Four days after his high school graduation in 2001, Herschel left for the U. S. Navy. Since then, he has traveled throughout the U. S., and around the world. This is his debut book, but he is no stranger to writing. He first discovered his talent for writing while in junior high school in 1997. He has been writing every since.
