About the Book

Annie and Andy, two loveable lighthouses, are situated on opposite sides of Emerald Island’s channel leading in from the open sea. These proud lighthouses had worked together for years safely guiding ships through the dangerous waters just offshore. Annie and Andy are quite content, that is until a famous lighthouse builder arrives and convinces the mayor and townspeople of the island to let him place a new, modern light in one of the lighthouses. The other lighthouse, with its stationary light, will no longer be needed and, according to the builder, should be taken down to save the town money. The story takes the reader/listener through the many emotions of both the lighthouses and the townspeople. When an unexpected problem arises with Annie, the townspeople must come to the aid of their faithful lighthouse, or suffer the consequences! With cheerful, colorful illustrations and a touching message about the importance of loyalty and friendship, this book is sure to delight readers of ALL ages!
