About the Book
I am from an Anglican Christian background, from a family of ten, five boys and five girls. I was born in the 60’s in a village called Oshiugbokor, in Ahoada town of Ekpeye district, in Rivers State of Nigeria. I am the 8th of ten children, five children now living, out of the ten. Three sisters and two brothers including Mother left. All siblings back home in my homeland now a Pentecostal Christian. I had my primary, secondary and three year college education in Nigeria. I am now residing in the United States. I am a mother of two wonderful boys, by the name Joseph and Elems. My poetic inclination started from childhood but never kept any record till about 2002, when a co-worker advised me not to destroy a piece I had written at work entitled Gold. From then henceforth, I decided to keep my work.
Most of my poems are inspired as a result of life experiences and societal occurrences, Christianity and political views. I write nonfiction to tell my personal story which may educate a teenage girl or boy, women or men across the ocean in their
decisions as they go through life and the ability to hold on and trust God in every situation. More importantly, those that desire to travel outside their motherland and the potentials they may encounter based on my experiences.
