The Wind and the Trees is designed particularly with preschool and kindergarten aged children in mind as well as grades first through fourth. The story is designed to enhance the imagination of the child, while encouraging each child to actively use their imagination. The story is also designed to begin to build the child’s vocabulary at an early age. When read to a child by their teacher or parents or any other adult, the words can be explained to the child by using the illustrations in the book. In addition to the very important educational aspects of this beautifully illustrated story, The wind and the Trees tells the story of how the wind and the trees have come together to work as one. Cheryl Smith has written a story that will capture the imagination of all who read it.
