About the Book

While trying to prove himself, police officer Roger Abbott becomes immersed in a drug gang investigation involving a Boyd Peterson, who just happens to be Janice Peterson’s uncle. Besides feeling insecure about his job, he is also still mourning the death of his wife. A surprise meeting on the lake introduces him to Janice. There is an instant attraction between them, despite his reluctance to open his heart to another woman. Janice Peterson is gradually recovering from the loss of her mother. She is also worried about her uncle Boyd, who has been after her father for his share of their father’s inheritance. After a near miss on the lake with Roger’s iceboat, she finds her life turned upside down. And it seems her uncle’s illegal activities will continue to push her toward Roger Abbott. In a series of twists, both are placed in danger by Janice’s uncle Boyd, and must work together if they are to overcome their trials. Can they survive to have their happily ever after?

About the Author

Robert has lived in Nova Scotia most of his life. The beauty of this small province, as well as the slower pace of life, has inspired him with his writing. Now retired, he and his wife continue to enjoy the beauties of living with the ocean on their doorstep. Robert has been a writer for many years, and has had poetry published in American and Canadian Anthologies, as well as local periodicals. He has been a member of the Nova Scotia Poetry Society, as well as associating with members of the Writer’s Federation. With their encouragement, he began to explore the magical world of fiction writing. Robert began to seek opportunities to explore new ideas, and new adventures. With fiction, the only limit is the border of your imagination. He has written several novels, leaning toward adventure, with a little romance thrown in. This is Robert’s first published work of fiction.
