This book is based on a true story about the Roe family and the Columbus, Ohio flood of January, 1959. The flood completely washed out the family business and the family had to start all over again.
The picture at the bottom is Richard Roe, “Dad”, owner of Roe’s Grocery, cleaning out the damaged merchandise from his store.

About the Author
JUDY ROE GOODMAN was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1952. She attended high school there at Franklin Heights. She went to DePauw University in Indiana for one year and then transferred to The Ohio State University in Columbus where she got her Masters degree in Civil Engineering in 1976. Judy worked at Procter & Gamble for twenty-five years and retired in 2001. She and her husband now manage an eBay business. She lives in West Chester, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio.
