About the Book
Eric’s Room is centered on a boy named Eric, who has an unusual collection of stuffed animals he calls “the Critters.” They are unique in that they come to life only when alone or with him; but never in front of his parents or friends. In this story, Working Together, Eric helps the Critters see the importance of team effort toward reaching a goal. Eric is an only child, and since there are no other youngsters in the house who might share his experiences, the big question becomes: Is he telling the truth when he speaks of the Critters’ misadventures or are they just the result one boy’s overactive imagination? Keep your eyes peeled open for new Eric’s Room books featuring Eric, Little Lamb, Wadsworth the Tiger, Little Duckie and more Critters to follow!
About the Author
Ron De Genova Author, Eric’s Room Ron was born in Toronto and raised in North York, Ontario, Canada. As an only child he often relied on his imagination to enhance companionship with his toy animal pals, such as using paper towels to create a fort for a brown-and-beige dog named “Brownie” as well as “Mew-Mew,” a plastic cat on wheels. Owing to his love of youth entertainment, Ron made Children’s Television his focus in his final year at Ryerson University and went on to become a children’s television producer for CBC Television as well as Canada’s youth television network, YTV. Upon relocating to Los Angeles he entered into a development deal with the Jim Henson Company on a youth TV pilot he pitched. He has also worked with such notable companies as Vin DiBona Productions, Insight Productions, Maple Palm Productions, Saban Entertainment, Decode Entertainment and Marathon Animation. He initially wrote Eric’s Room as a pilot for a kids’ animated TV series, ultimately deciding to transform the story into the book/eBook you are now holding. An entire series is planned. Ron currently divides his time between Santa Clarita and Palm Springs, California. He is a proud member of the Children’s TV Peer Group of the Television Academy in North Hollywood. To this day Ron still has “Brownie the Dog” but has lost “Mew-Mew the Cat on Wheels.” If you happen to run across Mew-Mew please drop him a line!
