About the Author

Dr. Margarita Suero-Duran is a native of Quisqueya and arrived in the United States at the age of three. She is currently a school counseling professional and adjunct professor in New York City. Dr. Suero-Duran continually promotes respect for bilingualism and multiculturalism. She is proud to share the story of the Dominican Faceless Doll with family, students, colleagues, and friends.
