About the Book
The intriguing questions that plague all of humanity in their desire and push to “gain knowledge,” are sometimes answered, but most often, not to satisfaction.
The ‘search’ for these answers oftentimes lead us on fantastic journeys and such is the case here.
The tale of one such journey is a wonderful voyage into the imagination. Stories and events from the Bible are delightfully spun here, and cleverly intertwined with the actual scriptures.
In this first book of the series, the adventure begins with the “fall from Grace”. The hearts that chose to leave the Kingdom of Eternal were on the King’s Counsel they were His dearest and closest friends. At the Gate of Peace, the King changed their names from the Good and Kind ‘hearts’ He knew, to the ‘Cruel and Evil’ ‘hearts’ they had become. The brothers chose to follow the one that the King had installed as the ‘Heart Protector’ and teacher of the young. After all he was their big brother.
But the King no longer saw him as a Protector, now He could only see him as the ‘Attacker’ and betrayer of all.
When the gates closed behind them, the Attacker’s niece Smiling, was reluctantly taken along with them. Young Bold (with the help of his friends, and in defiance of his father) set out to bring his sweetheart back.
Pure, Bold’s father, dispatches the warrior angels, Brave, Smart and Comfort to look after and aid the young hearts.
The young twin Jin, ( Min’s brother) overhears a conversation that holds a dire consequence for the rebellious Attacker and his followers. Jin tells his sister about the conversation and the two go in search of help.
They are led to the Garden of Promise, where the Cherubs dwell. The Cherubs (not knowing the circumstances) agree to help the twins. When the Mistress Angel (guardian of the Cherubs) discovers what has taken place, she immediately informs the King.
Joyful and Jin became instant friends when the two discover they have mutual interests and love to ‘gain knowledge’ by exploring the unknown. The unknown in Jin’s world becomes a reality when he finally gets an answer to his question of ‘why their names (Min and Jin) don’t fit.
Min realizes she too, has a wonderful new friend in Charity. The friendship the two develop continues to strengthen and grow as they traveled, and Hopeful was kept busy trying to keep everything in order.
It is an adventurous, comical, and moving story that will share its fears, dreams, and joys that we find in a unique ‘everyday kind of life’ setting.
The adventure takes the travelers to many ‘unusual’ places where they encounter a variety of characters that ultimately lead our friends to Safe Harbor, and some answers. Does Jin get the answer of why the twins don’t have names that fit?
Experience the journey and enjoy the suspense, and ‘In Time, You Too Will Know’!
A delightful reading for both young and old, and everyone in between!
