About the Book

Do you have a favorite elementary school teacher? How did you parents feel about her? Mrs. Delaney: Room 108 shares the private side of a fictional Stamford, Ct. teacher who is typically loved and hated by many. Sometimes thought provoking and sometimes controversial, this novel is lined with hair-raising twists that question society’s values and beliefs. It is a wake-up call to parents who cross the civility line and reassurance to those who show respect. Mrs. Delaney: Room 108 is a novel that shows teaching in a whole new light, a light that can turn very dark.

When Jenna Delaney, the main character, announces to her third grade class that she is pregnant, her entire life changes in a most dangerous way. The rearranged classroom desks, the missing hamster, the hidden tarantula, the threatening telephone calls, and other chilling problems become more than just coincidence. Could her stalker be the mother who throws temper tantrums? Could it be the one who refuses to have her child do homework? Could it be a jealous parent or staff member? Teaching can be more than just educating. It can be deadly.
