About the Author
James C. Coomer is Emeritus Professor of Political Science at Mercer University where he was Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. He has held teaching and administrative positions at the University of Houston and at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, from which he holds a Ph.D. An Indiana Childhood and Other Stories is his first collection of short stories. Professor Coomer’s short story, Destiny, was voted Best Fictional Short Story by the Gulf Coast Writers Association in 1991.
