About the Book

Peter and Alanna Adler were about to begin a new life in a new house. Ambitious and lively realtor Colette la Prate had found them their home, a beautiful yellow house avoided by all who knew its history. Once the front doors are closed, a stranger appears screaming to keep them open, Dr. Henry Rhames. He leans his forehead to the closed doors and mutters, "Now you are trapped too." The tale he tells is too great. That they have now become prisoners in a world of endless connected rooms, false windows, of a world of inescapable captivity. Now every door and every window holds the promise of a new threat. Hope is enlivened only through the effort to escape, to live.
