About the Book

America By Proxy is a collection of conversations between three ghetto residents and a man who never reveals his true origins, even to his closest friends. They call him Proxy. He is the quintessential example of a societal dropout. He has completely rejected the socializing process, and taken up residence in the ghetto. There, he befriends three men who having never become educated have escaped the branding irons of societal acceptance. They meet at various times and engage in conversations that usually end up as quasi lectures, with Proxy serving as lecturer.
