About the Book

This short book of poetry is about different situations that may occur during one’s lifetime. Some of the poems are purely fictional with a bit of humor, while others are quite serious such as “The Sixties.” This particular poem is written from the perspective of a teenaged Afro-American male, who is trying to understand prejudice as it is boldly perpetrated and revealed by the news media. There is a poem entitled, “Who’s the Greatest” which follows the antics, trials and tribulations of Muhammad Ali during his quest for the heavyweight title. In addition, there are poems that are relative to love, hate, theft, relationships and even the environment.
