About the Book
Sharri Carr, a sixteen-year-old cheerleader is discovered half-naked, floating face down in the St. Regis River. Repeatedly stabbed, her body mutilated, the State Police declare it a crime of passion, her lover her killer. Slowly they and the Village Constable narrow the suspects focusing their efforts on BJ, her most recent boyfriend. Chris Rice, keeper of the village peace will find love on his journey to expose the perpetrator, but in doing so his very existence is threatened, his ties to the community destroyed.
About the Author
Raised in Miami, Florida, D. K. Lyon’s father worked for the Dade County Sheriff Department while his mother operated the family flower shop. He and his two older brothers attended the same high school, had many of the same teachers and participated in various after-school activities. Graduating from Florida State University, 1968, Don entered the Army as a Military Intelligence Officer serving in Viet Nam, Hawaii and the Philippines. Upon separation he completed the Master’s Degree and later a Ph.D. In 1972 he began teaching English at a small southern college and was eventually employed by several different institutions including a technical college in Upstate New York. D.K. currently lives and writes in Eastern Tennessee.
