About the Book
This book tells of one nurse's career and life throughout a period of years. Many changes in the care of patients and the profession of nursing are documented. The travel and adventures met in the United States Air Force portray this person's journey. Stories about places from Washington State to South Carolina; England, Japan and Vietnam are included. One section is devoted to research concerning touch and back massage. Types of nursing, life experiences, the education required are mentioned. Perhaps this autobiography will encourage others to seek nursing as a career.
About the Author
Mary Ellen Brown is a retired registered nurse who has spent most other nursing career in the United States Air Force. She spent her early civilian years as a bedside nurse. While enjoying teaching and contact with students, time was taken increasing her education. Bachelor of Nursing Education, Masters in Administration, and a Masters Degree in Nursing were obtained. This was followed by an additional eight years of teaching nursing. Hobbies include reading, gardening and the love pet collies. She is an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Belleville, and resides at her home in Fairview Heights, Ill.
