As an infant, Wally Wizzlatch is brought by his parents to America from a mysterious foreign place. He endures much ridicule in his childhood because of his incongruous stature and appearance. Gifted with an extremely high intellect, he acquires a fine education to satisfy his thirst for knowledge. In his early manhood he is unexpectedly transported to the land of his origins which is in a place unknown to the rest of the world, the Dome of Entropy. Here, he encounters an old man who describes the mysterious and beneficial influence the mechanism of a mountain within the Dome has on the world. He also reveals to Wally his true destiny and the grave responsiblities he is to endure throughout his lifetime. The Dome is infiltrated by evil intruders who plan to rule over the world using the mountain’s powers. The threat is eliminated by the courageous and adventurous actions of Wally, the old man and some companions, finally ridding the world of an evil which it has long endured.
About the Author
Every writer realizes they are at their best when they are dealing with circumstances stemming from their own background knowledge and personal experiences. The author’s background as an engineer, licensed pilot and amateur astronomer prepared him to deal with the theme of this story. As an example, aviation requirements demand an extensive knowledge of meteorology, a key element in the story. The author has been blessed with more than fourty-five years of a happy marriage with his wife, Martha. They have two bright daughters, both of whom are school teachers, and they enjoy the frequent company of two wonderful granddaughters.
