About the Book

“Danny-Ruff and the Unattached Parts” is about a dog that moves in with a human couple. One of the humans is a disabled woman. In the beginning of the book, he believes that dogs are much better in every way than humans. But, he soon learns that humans, even disabled ones, can love and help a dog, and a dog can love and help humans too.

About the Author

S.M, Stern is a freelance writer living in Bethel, CT. Her two children Dori and Aaron live in Charlottesville, VA with their father, her ex-husband. Kimberly Smith is an illustrator from Danbury, CT. She earned a B.A. from Western Connecticut State University in both illustration and fine arts. Danny Ruff is her first book for children.
