I, Lucifer

About the Book

The ruler of Hell has taken a permanent vacation. Seeing as running the Inferno is a really crappy job, especially if you’ve been doing it for all of history without so much as a single day of leave and no pay to show for it, Lucifer has decided to call it quits. Instead of tormenting sinners the former Archangel now enjoys life on Earth in the guise of a young woman called Luci Drake.

Life is not all fun and games, though. A visit from an old friend reminds Luci that quitting is not an option for an angel in the employ of the Lord. Expecting to be dragged kicking and screaming back into Hell, she finds herself being offered a new job instead. Someone else will take over the smooth running of the afterlife and Lucifer will be given a new task, one that allows her nearly limitless freedom, plus the option of continuing her human life on Earth.

Luci wastes to time trading in her pitchfork, convinced that no job in the universe can possibly be as bad as the one she has been doing for nearly sixteen billion years. There are times, though, when even the Devil does not know what she has gotten herself into.
