About the Book

The Greening Springing, with an introduction by Fred Upton, Member of Congress Michigan, 6th District, commemorates the mystical gift of the Calm and its attending virtues; the emergence, progression, decline, and devastated-longing at the ensuing loss: its love; its inspiration; its abounding joy. Friends visiting the Prophet represent the human side of each individual; the side which may wish to make excuses, be selfish, angry, faultfinding, or is merely wimpy; the side which “loves” the lessor. The Prophet’s response reflects the divine side; the side which knows best and knows better which exudes inherent joy; loves majestically; searches for truth endlessly; and which we frequently override with our purely human side and its desires regardless of the circumstance or outcome.

About the Author

Margaret (Peg) Mary Stender retired from the position of Community Development Director, for the City of Kalamazoo, Michigan, in September 2000. Community Development managed the federal grants which were directed to assisting needy people. During this period, she was privileged to be able to interact with numerous housing, human service, and neighborhood organizations, and was extremely fortunate to come to know the integrity of each individual. Peg retired to devote her time to promoting the Good which she believes to be contained in the books, Behold The Daybreak and The Greening Springing: the equality; the peace; the joy; the love and the laughter; the Eternal; the just and worthwhile. Peg’s daughter, granddaughter, and grandson reside in Arkansas. She and her husband, granddaughter, and great grandson live in Michigan.
