Since his youth, he has been creative as a musician/composer, lyrical poet and game designer. As a young adult, he traveled the globe aboard various deep sea ships in the merchant marine. Those early travel experiences inspired many creative endeavors. He founded and was the keyboardist for the musical group “Rubaiyat” in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. In 1996, he co-founded a musical entity called “Lifetron” with his friend and musical partner Michael Milillo. “Lifetron” has created and published numerous CD projects featuring a unique varied progressive musical style. In 2001, he met Jim Palmer, an accomplished artist and decided to publish this book with Jim’s pictorial expressions. The writings within are representative of his earliest to latest work. The illustrator, Jim Palmer (right), is a resident of Warwick, NY where he lives with his wife, Annie. Also born in 1951 and raised in NJ, he started drawing with a ball point pen in high school. While in the US Army and stationed in the beautiful farm country of northwestern Germany, he discovered rapidograph pens and “M. C. Escher”, both of which had a profound impact on his work. His style continues to evolve as an expression of his love of nature and passionate interest in matters of the spirit. He has exhibited his drawings in art galleries throughout northern New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania and now practices his craft as a tattooist at “New View Tattoos” in Highland, NY. “BRAIN TAR” is his first major collaborative work and first foray into the world of publishing. Jim and Henry had so much fun with this project that they’re creating a second book entitled “STONES AROUND THE BONE”, which no doubt will also be a best seller.
