About the Author

Reneé Hall is a teacher and professor currently residing in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is a mother of four and a devoted friend to many. Through her experiences and the experiences of others, she is able to express the emotion and sentiment presented in this volume of poetry. For Hall, “poetry is the gate to the heart, the lens of the eye, and the key to what we feel in our souls.” She hopes that you share this sentiment as you read Misunderstood.
