About the Author
Sherifa Zuhur, Visiting Professor, Islamic Studies, Cleveland State University (2002-4) and Director, Institute for Middle Eastern, Islamic, and Diasporic Studies has lectured at MIT, UC Berkeley, American University in Cairo, and Ben Gurion University. Her books include Revealing Reveiling: Islamist Gender Ideology in Contemporary Egypt (SUNY), Asmahan’s Secrets (Univ. of Texas/Saqi Books), Images of Enchantment, and Colors of Enchantment (AUC Press).
