About the Author

Stems from observation, feeling and love from an early childhood and now to think of senior citizen. The author was encouraged to publish these poems by Mr. Johnny Smith, who was a Baltimore City school principal for over 40 years. Mrs. Singleton is a retired teacher in the Baltimore City Public School System. She holds an Associate of Arts degree, B.S. degree in Language and Biology, a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Master’s degree in Special Education. She has done a practicum for the Veteran Administration and Crownsville State Hospital of Maryland. Her life work is a love of people and learning. This book is dedicated to my husband, Lafayette Singleton, Sr., my son, Dr. Lafayette Singleton, Jr., my daughter Carrie E. Singleton and my two grandchildren, Laura M. Singleton, attorney and Lorin Singleton. Carrie E. Singleton is a counselor; daughter in the Baltimore City Public School system. Lorin Singleton is a professional photographer.
