About the Book

Buck´s Way is the story about Buckminster Hunt´s pursuit of life - both past and present. Along his path are adventure, discovery, love, and loss.

Buck is an average college student at USL in the 60´s. His Father dies and Buck inherits the small farm. He discovers in the barn, a beautiful custom racing motorcycle. As a small boy, Buck had been forbidden to go into the barn so he was totally unaware of this aspect of his Father´s past. He became fascinated with the motorcycle and felt compelled to learn more about this man that he never really knew.

Buck refurbishes the motorcycle and sets out on a quest to find some of his Father´s old friends. But mostly, he sets out to find himself. This road leads him on a journey of adventure with drug dealers, alligator poachers, murderers, Spanish treasure, life on the edge, and of love and its loss. He encounters life threatening situations which draws knowledge, skills, and instincts from deep below the surface of his conscious intelligence. Buck feels that this motorcycle is the connection between his Father´s past and the new inherited instincts he is experiencing. The character of Buck grows from fledgling college student to a man of confidence, prowess, experience, and wisdom. If you are a man, you will want to be Buck. If you are a woman, you will want to be with him, care for him, love him.

To best describe this book is to say that it is a cross between the books Zen And The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and Indiana Jones. The characters are real and many of the adventures are based on real life encounters.

This is the best book on motorcycling available today. It crosses gender and is full of wit, insight and action. I ask that you give it a chance. Read it and you will like it. This book can be ordered directly from Barnes & Noble for immediate delivery. www.bn.com
