About the Book

The Cleveland summer is heating up and the last thing Cleveland Detectives Cooper and Wilde need is a serial killer on the loose. Is the killer crazy or is there a method to his madness? The Cleveland Plain Dealer Newspaper is calling this diabolical killer “the Artist” because of the crime scenes that he leaves. Cooper and Wilde team up with a seasoned newspaper reporter to catch the Artist. However, can Cooper stop the killing spree before the Artist gets to Cooper’s family? Cooper has to turn to an old love interest for clues and then he finds out she is targeted, too. Using Cleveland for a backdrop, this story moves quickly though the city and suburbs tracking down the killer. The reporter offers to be bait for a trap and while listening to their prey talk to the reporter, Cooper learns about the killer’s shocking past. A past that is so horrible that the Artist is driven to re-live it again and again. The detectives have nothing to go on until Cooper is able to put together the madman’s past and discovers his special tie to Cleveland.

This is a story that could be taken from the front pages of today’s papers. The fast-paced dialogue and gripping story line will keep the reader’s attention as the Detectives try to stop the Artist from finishing his work for his one man show.
