About the Book

Joe Forrelli was abused by a drunken father which resulted in injury to his arm. He has trouble using it. He opens a diner in California with help from a friend. A policeman crazed from a head injury comes in and wants to eat. Joe recognizes him from a newspaper. Policeman thinks a gang is after him and waits in the diner for them. Joe is horrified as his waitress and her boyfriend come to the diner. The policeman fires on them, killing the boyfriend, the wrecked car starts to burn. The cop is ready to shoot the waitress when Joe jumps the counter and hits him with a fry pan. The cop fires at him; Joe is too intent on saving the waitress. He is wounded and badly burned getting her out of the wreck. Problems upset Joe’s love for the waitress. His nurse falls in love with him. The waitress now knows it was Joe she loved and tells him. He can’t decide whom to reject. An Italian cousin shows up; urging him to head the mob’s operation in San Francisco. He is forced to act as padron to eliminate the gang as his sister is caught in drug abuse in a cult. He must stop the mob. Can he win a war with a Mafia type operation both here and in Italy?


About the Author

I am retired from the work force and now have to time to write fiction which has been a lifelong ambition. I have recently completed nine novels in various genre. I enjoy in painting in oils, watercolors and pastels. I have had four poems published and was written up in “Who’s Who in California” 1988 edition. I presently reside in Lewisburg, Tennessee with my cats and canary.
