After four years in the U.S. Navy, John R. Crawford obtained a $500 loan on his only paid for possession, a Studebaker coupe. With this fortune in hand he sought out a printer who agreed to print his new weekly paper and also extended him a month’s credit. From that point on Crawford discovered that the hackneyed adage; “The harder I work the luckier I get,” made sense. Twenty-five years later he sold out to an international publisher and chased the sun from Northern New Jersey to Snee Farm Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. To date he has published two novels. “Joe’s Regular’s” was his first, “And Now My Love, We’re Even,” is he second.
