About the Book
Epiphanies dot the landscape of Landgarten’s work. Her memoirs and fictional short stories reflect sensitivity and an emotional awareness into interpersonal dynamics. The author as a fine artist and art psychotherapist has adapted her visual artistic senses into words that paint a picture of what her world was like as a sensitive young girl. She describes her past in the twenties and thirties and explores relationships with immigrant parents, older siblings, and friends. The characters in the fictional stories encounter situations that are challenging. Both real and imagined narratives are filled with humor, angst, bewilderment, and joy.
