It is 1941 and Hitler´s Third Reich is approaching the apex of its European dominance. When a naïve German teenager, Anna Gunter, finds herself about to become an unwed mother, she is thrust into Heinrich Himmler´s fanatical Lebensborn program. Lebensborn, meaning "the fountain of life," is an organization specifically designed to facilitate the breeding of Aryan children at the expense of Jews, homosexuals, disabled and other "undesirables." By the time Anna comes to realize the extent of the Nazi´s twisted scheme, she is heavy with child and a virtual prisoner in the French-occupied Chateau where she is guarded by SS soldiers. Her own safety and that of her child are further jeopardized when SS Kapitan Klaus von Elken and his mistress, the calculating Lebensborn Administrator Elsbeth Schroeder, act in collusion to steal the baby for their own Nationalist purposes.

About the Author

NELSON ASPEN is best known as an Entertainment & Lifestyles reporter from Los Angeles, CA. After spending time as a soap opera actor/writer/producer in New York City, he relocated to the West Coast and enjoyed a successful career in health and fitness. While in London, instructing Princess Diana’s own trainer in the latest fitness techniques, he was discovered by a British news show and began producing and reporting “Celebrity Fitness” stories from Los Angeles. It wasn’t long before he became a sought-after commentator for various news and entertainment outlets. In 1997, he broke new ground as Microsoft’s first “Cyber-Star,” hosting 187 live one-hour celebrity interviews under the title, “Nelson’s World.” Three seasons as the Hollywood Producer/Correspondent for TV GUIDE TELEVISION followed and now he is contributing to TV, radio and print venues worldwide. His latest offering, “New with Nelson,” is a How-To program which debuted in January, 2002. He still keeps active in the fitness world as the Creator and Instructor of his patented “Brains and Brawn Workout,” a class which mingles authors and experts with gym-going exercise enthusiasts. He lives with his partner, Mark, an Abyssinian, Henry, and a Springer Spaniel, Lois.
