About the Book

They had read the sagas of Vikings, Romans and Greeks. Fresh-faced descendants of Scots and Pics, Standish and Crockett. Now they were pilots and their battlefield was the sky, and fear, and an earthly Venus. They were reluctant combatants of bullet and bomb, passion and love. Their arena spread from un-marked battlegrounds in the sky to the pastoral realm of ale and tea. Two pilots and a nurse emerge from the smoke of battle in 1943 to engage in a contest of the heart. About the Author

Cody Grant attended school in Greater Detroit. A graduate of Wayne State University and of Central Michigan University. That was followed by military service in the Air Force. He has traveled the Middle and Far East, and lived in Scotland, England and Canada. After military duty he was employed by Chrysler Engineering in Highland Park, Michigan. Then he accepted the post as Director of Operations for Lynwood School District in California. The position of Superintendent for the Port of San Diego followed.
