About the Book

Poet Lukens’ condensed, crisp style of verse is reminiscent of the epigrammatic forms of Emily Dickinson and William Blake. His first published collection, Heart Thoughts, is part of The Royal Collection Trust at Windsor Castle. Windowpanes, his second book of poetry, can be found in many libraries stateside, as well as in Oxford and Cambridge Universities.

One Ohio Governor said his verse had “captured the simple joys of living,” which earned him the right to be known as “The Buckeye Poet.” In this book he shares his personal grief with the bereaved and broken-hearted, especially with those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001.
