These humorous and inspirational stories are from John S. Lawson (1884 – 1966) and his preacher son, Elim Lawson (1926 – 2006). This book is dedicated to the many members of the Lawson clan who dearly love a good story.
In these stories you will meet preachers and their parishioners from Kentucky to Kansas. These country folks have hearts as big as the prairie landscapes and as generous as the harvests of golden wheat on the Kansas plains.
About the Author
Elim Lawson was born in 1926 on a farm in southwestern Kansas. Only sports and Dad’s stern talks kept unruly Elim in high school until World War II where he served as a combat infantryman in the Philippines and a chaplain’s assistant in occupied Japan. Elim spent 1947 through 1966 in college, seminary, graduate school, and pastoring seven rural churches in Kansas. During his time in college he met and married the talented Lois Klopping. These humorous and inspirational stories are from John S. Lawson (1884 – 1966) and his preacher son, Elim Lawson (1926 – 2006).
