Upon revealing to Andre that Charles was his son, Anna Matthews' final threat to Andre that he would never be able to gain custody of the little boy was just he challenge that was needed to concentrate Andre on this goal. In so doing, all the hidden secrets surrounding the Matthews' family are exposed, dangerously involving also, persons in high places.
Suspicion and distrust add to the growing paranoia surrounding Andre's feelings toward all with whom he comes in contact forcing him into making the ultimate decisions regarding the paths he must pursue to establish for his son and himself the secure future he seeks.
At last, finally settled in a comfortable niche, Andre foresees a fulfillment of his dreams until he is again besieged and overwhelmed with crises of catastrophic proportions.
About the Author
Resolution is Rita Hallett’s second full-length novel and is a sequel to Absolution which was published in 2002. The author has been awarded first prize in several short story contests sponsored by the General Federation of Womans' Club/Massachusetts. She has also placed first in poetry contests. Many of her essays and editorials have been published in the Ledger, the leading newspaper of Polk County, Florida. In participation with a Writers' Group in Winter Haven, Florida, she contributed several chapters for two short stories, which were published in local newspapers. The author and her husband live in Massachusetts.
