About the Book

You have in your hands a book of poetry done for the most part in the classical style. That means the poems have a sing song quality to them known as rhyme and some also tell a story which makes them fun to read. Some people seem to feel that poetry needs to be difficult to understand which is something I never understood. Why spend years writing something no one is going to understand? All my poems have a story or moral behind them and my greatest desire is that if you decide to read them you will see pictures in your head and then share these images with others. Thank you for allowing me to share “Dreams Dreamt” with you.

About the Author

I am Richard B. Meyer, dreamer and sometimes poet. I live in small town America, more commonly known as Belton, Texas, with my wife Vicki and my mother Dolores. As with most Americans I have over the course of my life held several jobs. I did in my younger days attend college, raise a daughter, purchase a home and much else of a common nature many of us have done. I am now fifty-eight and have discovered that for the past few years I have had time for me. I have taken to drawing pictures with words and this book is my effort to share my drawings with you.
