About the Book

Readers of Memorandum Pad – UF 16 were introduced to six young men as they were sworn in as Probationary Patrolmen in the New York City Police Department and followed their exploits as they remembered back over the years. Partners tells the tale of the remaining two – Shelly Grossman and Mick Brennan - who rode together for many years as radio car Partners and are still together in retirement in Florida.

About the Author

The author was born on New York City’s lower east side and raised in the Borough of Queens. On his return from Korea he met the girl who was to become his wife, married and eventually moved to Nassau County to raise their five children. On his discharge from the service he enrolled in a Civil Service Preparation School where he studied and trained for the New York City Patrolman’s examination, and served in that Department for thirty five years. He has a baccalaureate degree in Police Science and a graduate degree in Public Administration.
