About the Author

The author PUCK HEE LEE was born in Rangoon (now Yangon) in Burma (now Myanmar) in the year 1925. When young, he was educated at the S. Pail’s English Institution in Rangoon. In 1941 he went to India and at first studied at the St. Paul’s Cathedral College, at Amherst Street, Calcutta. In l447 he graduated from a medical school at Calcutta with diploma L.M.F (Licentiate of the State Medical Faculty of Bengal). In Burma he once served as Medical Officer for Kokang State. In China, he worked at a physician in the Taishan People’s Hospital. In 1980, he came to Pittsburgh as a legal immigrant. In 1981, he worked as a hospital aide at John J. Kane Hospital. In 1987, he became an American citizen. In 1990 he retired. In 1997, he was inducted into the International Poetry Hall of Fame. Currently he is residing at Pittsburgh.
