“Honorable, adventurous men call me friend. I can live with that.” So Toren says of his life as a world-roving photographer. Toren, with clients like Bing Crosby, alternated his photography of the rich and famous, with photographing remote areas of the world, such as the Darien jungle, one of the fiercest jungles in the world, and sun-burnt Africa, and the Arctic. Toren, through life, has taken the path less traveled, and beside him, for most of the way, a woman equally adventurous, his wife. To the generations to come, Toren says, “Take time for adventure.”
