About the Book
Love, abuse, and alcoholism. The dramatic lives of some people are the stuff movies are made of. Know how one young woman overcame adversity in this exquisite blend of poetry and photographs, My Nemesis. Keli Danice recounts how she started drinking at a young age, been a victim of rape and assault by the time she was sixteen, and temporarily homeless in the streets of Hampton, Virginia. But, with courage and determination, she got her life in order. As most artists go through suffering, Keli believes this has deepened her sensitivity to the plight of others – and this remarkable book shows her maturing creativity.
