About the Book

The American Brainscape is a collection of poetry that spans over seven year period. Starting with its latest work, to its earliest, this book is broken into three pieces called, “Young President”, “The American Brainscape” and “YO!” Each of these categories represents a book. The American Brainscape is a body of work that examines the political, social and economical psyche in American life and society of today. This book is the embodiment of Yolanda Titsworth, use of putting two ideas that are opposites on the spectrum of life, and making them one alike and of the same. This 101 paged collection of poetry succumbs to the truism that no matter how much we may thinks of things as being different everything and everyone is the same. The American Brainscape, delves into the life of a young poet, who is searching for the truth in the matters of the heart, religion, politics, sex and drugs. This book is a book for it’s time, for all ages and a piece of work for everyone.

About the Author

Yolanda Titsworth was born on January the 10th, 1980 in St .Louis, Missouri, to parents John and Lois Titsworth. The younger of two children, Yolanda has been writing poems and short stories since the age of seven years old. For years throughout her adolescence and young adulthood, Titsworth has been molding and perfecting her craft in literature into a word voice that is sensational. Her recipe is taking words, phrases, people and places from everywhere and making it into art for everyone. Titsworth later ventured her writing skills into journalism. When she was 18, she started her first literary Fat Cato Magazine, later becoming founder and managing editor of her college newspaper, The Hornet’s Nest. Also while in college Titsworth, took her writing into higher depths in the world of high art. As a painter and photographer, she uses words, phrases and themes, to express abstract movement in her paintings and pictorials. As a leader in the English honor’s society Sigma Tau Delta, Titsworth believes that her passion in writing is mixing two ideas completely opposites in its spectrum and making it one that agrees. Now at 27, Yolanda Titsworth works as a teacher in the public school system in St. Louis, Missouri.
