About the Book

The stories are provocative, the underlying theme of all is the varied players’ personal responses to major or seemingly minor bumps in the road. These tales, range from an all too common business arrangement in the far Pacific, to adolescent probing for manhood, including a humble message to the power that is presumed to be.

Jerry Oblonsky was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He served in WW2 as an aerial navigator in the Army Air Corps, post war attending Ohio State University. He has worked as an engineer and project manager in Australia and Jamaica and as a building official in Covina, a Los Angeles suburb. An avid reader in his youth, inspired by the likes of John O’Hara, James T. Farrell, his retirement afforded him the opportunity to write. He presently resides in Rossmoor, Walnut Creek, California with his wife "Claire.”
