About the Book
The runt of a litter is found abandoned on the steps of the local animal shelter and taken in. Nicknamed Shel,for shelter dog he has a rough time adjusting.He does not obey commands and is labeled "bad dog."Having overstayed his welcome he is losing hope. Then on the 365th day,a little girl brings Shel the sign he was looking for -"love." (Ages 4-8) A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book goes to animal rescue groups.
About the Author
Marion Margolis is a Speech/Language Therapist. She and her husband Charles divide their time between Manhattan and East Hampton. Marion’s first children’s tale “New Digs for Beau” got a “4” paw rating from her four grandchildren. Alysia Margolis is an Occupational Therapist. She’s also a dancer with the Calvin Wiley Dance Theatre. Writing this tale in collaboration with her mother was a real treat. She and her husband Steve, live in Manhattan, along with their lively 3 year old twins, Spencer and Kyra, who don’t know how to “sit” or “stay” but do know how to “sign”! Paton Miller is an artist whose paintings have been exhibited in galleries and museums worldwide. He loves surfing and skiing. He and his wife Nancy and sons, Sam and Christian live in Southampton.
