“Little Hummingbird is a story about a Hopi Indian girl, beginning at the time of her birth. The story is authentically written to illustrate the lifestyle of the Hopi Indian family and describes many customs, rituals and family interactions.

Little Hummingbird was taught by her grandfather to play the flute and she used this ability to help others and herself.”

About the Author

Patti Clark has worked as an elementary school teacher for ten years, earning a nomination for “National Teacher of the Year.” She earned a masters degree in Elementary Education and was a member of the Phi Lambda Theta honor society and Delta Kappa Gamma. Mrs. Clark has also worked as a writer for a national educational publishing company for six years. Inspired by her father, Mrs. Clark has been painting all of her life. Patti Clark is now a retired homemaker living in Texas.
