About the Author

Mary E. Phillips was born in Detroit, Michigan. Her work has been in Civil Rights In Albany, Georgia in the sixties, and in peace and justice efforts today. After living in Europe, South America, Alabama and Georgia, she moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico near the Village of Dona Ana and lived there for thirty-two years with her husband, John, near their children, their spouses and grandchildren. After retiring from social work. Mary and her husband traveled extensively in Mexico. She is a member of the Desert Writers group in Las Cruces, and has been published in Serape anthologies.
